As the founder and CEO of The Lisa Howze Experience, LLC, Lisa is committed to helping professionals and next-generation leaders navigate life and career challenges and advance to the next level. In her book, "Candy Girl Mentality: Keys to Turning Bitter Moments into Sweet Success," she introduces her signature ‘Bounce Back Framework’ to aid in self-reflection and career elevation.
Having served in diverse leadership roles, Lisa's impactful career is evident by a legacy of service. During her tenure as a Michigan state representative, she drove legislation for Detroit's economic growth and facilitated tax relief for low-income residents, as the Duggan administration’s chief government affairs officer. As vice president of a university, Lisa championed student retention and debt reduction. Currently, she actively serves as an ambassador for the accounting profession to help strengthen the CPA pipeline.
With a background in accounting and finance, Lisa earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and Walsh College, respectively.
